Report on POCSO Act Session

On the 20th of July, 2024, a comprehensive session on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act was conducted at our school for the teachers/staff. The session commenced at 9:30 a.m. in the AV Room, with Ms. Lovina Lobo serving as the Master of Ceremonie and extending a warm welcome to all attendees.
The event began with a solemn prayer, setting a respectful and focused tone for the proceedings. Ms. Lovina Lobo then introduced the resource person, whose expertise and insights were pivotal to the day's training.
During the session, the resource person provided an in-depth overview of the POCSO Act, emphasizing its significance and the responsibilities it places on educators and guardians.
The session covered various aspects of the Act, including:
- Definitions and types of offenses covered under the POCSO Act.
- Interactive discussions and case studies to illustrate real-life applications of the Act.<\p>
The resource person’s engaging and informative presentation was followed by a Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to clarify their doubts and gain further insights into the practical aspects of implementing the POCSO guidelines in the school environment.<\p>
The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Sandhya Roy, expressed gratitude to the resource person for his invaluable contribution, and to all participants for their active engagement and commitment to child safety.<\p>
