Environment Day Celebration 2024

Christ School celebrated World Environment Week from 05/06/2024 to 09/06/2024 with the theme “Land Our Future.” The program began with an inaugural ceremony in the assembly. As a symbolic gesture, the Principal of the school Mrs. Eliza Vaz, along with School Head Boy Alistair and Head Girl Fathima, inaugurated Environment Day by watering the saplings. Class 7A students performed a play with the message "Don't cut trees." Miss Aishwarya from Class VIII spoke about the importance of Environment Day. The School Principal guided the children on how and why saving the environment is invaluable, empowering them with knowledge and motivation to make positive changes. Miss Aishwarya from Class VIII provided valuable insights into the significance of World Environment Day and the role of each individual in protecting our planet.

It was wonderful to see that World Environment Day at Christ School Manipal was not just a one-day event but a week-long celebration filled with activities for students from Class 1 to Class 10. Offering a variety of activities ensured that all students had the opportunity to participate and learn about environmental conservation in engaging and age-appropriate ways. Class 7B students took on a special project: cleaning up and replanting the school garden. This hands-on activity taught them about the importance of taking care of our environment. By cleaning up and replanting, they learned how small actions can make a big difference in keeping our surroundings healthy. This event concluded with a display of art and craft created by students throughout the week in the Activity Area. This not only showcased their creativity but also served as a visual representation of their commitment to environmental awareness and conservation.

Mrs. Asuntha gave the vote of thanks, adding a final touch of appreciation and recognition for everyone who contributed to the success of the program. It was important to acknowledge the efforts of students, teachers, and parents who worked hard to make the week's activities meaningful and impactful.
